The headstones look great in sepia. I can't say why, but the rocks seem to give off more of a warm glow, the sadness perhaps a bit less due to the light monochrome
I like this effect, it does make it look rather creepy but it works. I am a fan of photographing cemetaries also. There is just something about them that becons me. Great shot Mojo. :)
Very much an art form as proven here. So many times color takes away from the subject at hand. I do think without it the subjects take own a bit more life and set the mood themselves. Very nice.

I guess they are everywhere. I keep driving by cemeteries around here (in Connecticut).
