Wow, does that take me back. My (much) older brother used to have all of those items in one of the drawers of the very desk I am sitting at right now. It's older than I am.

PS--the big drawers at the bottom left side of the desk were perfect for turning into stuffed animal playhouses. I would set aside all the useless papers and things, and the next time my father or one of my brothers would open the drawer looking for some utilitarian object or other, they would find Floppo the dog and his friends. Ha!

Not in 2010, it isn't :)

There's such a richness of texture in this shot. I suspect the electronic tools that have replaced these just wouldn't evoke the same raw emotion.
