Thematic Photographic 9: "Signs" v.1.0
This week Thematic Photographic explores the world of Signs, Signs, Everywhere Signs. I guess if you have the right vehicle, you get to designate new spaces.

I love that song! Love love love! LOVE! But I love your photo even more. Reminds me of this one which is funny if you speak French. It's hard to read (which is why I'm sharing it here and not on my blog), but it says "Stationnement des velos interdit" (or "Bicycle parking prohibited"). That's a bike rack beneath it.

the sign looks like an invitation to me too. my car loves grass blvds.
(was that a Land Rover?)
cheers,
gord h.
Ah! signs!
That seems to MY theme these days. i keep receiving them by dozens. It is indeed serendipity!!
@Smoofus: You're always so nice to come home to. Thanks for stopping by. (Love your HNT this week by the way.)
@Gord: Nothing so exotic as a Land Rover, if memory serves it was a Jeep Wrangler. It just struck me funny *wink*.
i love how you have it standing out...you can't help but notice the 'sign'.
isn't it amazing how people create their own ummmm 'laws'? LOL
@Mona: I hope the signs you're getting are good ones at least. Your last post seemed a little melancholy, so I wondered when you said that.
@ Ciara: I have to credit Barb with the inspiration for that touch. The sign didn't really stand out at all in the original image, and if it hadn't been for the theme, you might not have realized that the sign was what made the shot interesting. And yeah, people seem to create/interpret the law as it suits their purpose pretty frequently. Seems to be more and more common the closer you get to Washington too.
Heh, wow. Some people think they can do whatever they want, apparently, including designating the grass their parking space.
Nice addition to the weekly theme :)
I may or may not have ever done this with my jeep when I had one.
ahem.

@Mojo, Awww... *blush* Thanks.
@Snowelf, I'm convinced that Jeep owners get a different driving manual than non-Jeep owners.

Seems we both have the same song stuck in our heads this week with this assignment! Love the photo. Something about jeeps and big trucks - they always seem to make their own way . . .
