Thematic Photographic 22: Night v.2.0 - Guerrilla Tourist
During the off season, the only people who frequent the Beaufort Waterfront are the locals, the owners of the obscenely expensive boats at the slips in Taylor's Creek and the guerrilla tourists like me who won't pass up the beach any time of the year. So this is Front Street on an off-season Monday evening... at 7:30 pm.Add a passing car to the scene (as in the second shot) and it looks downright lively by comparison don't you think? The final shot is more or less the same scene, but exactly what caused the strange staccato light trail in the middle of the street is a mystery to me. I know at least one person who's going to have an answer for what it is -- assuming she sees this photo and my narrative of it -- but I'm thinking there's a more conventional explanation than "orbs". No offense intended of course.

I hope you choose to be a guerilla more often...I love these street scenes. The orbs confuse me immensely. Best possible explanation is barrel reflection from some transient light source, like a car turning the corner or a spurious reflection.
Or ghosts!
Either way, it's the kind of streetscape I'd like to take in from a bench, holding a big travel mug filled with tea.
I don't know why, but the photos are not showing up for me.
Oh my! Beautiful and mysterious all at the same time. One of those photos that make you say "hmmmm..." along with a good case of the goosebumps! ;-)
