The caption may be a little obscure for non-fans so I'll explain briefly. The guy in the Hurricanes (white) uniform is Stu Grimson, nicknamed "The Grim Reaper". You can probably figure it out from there, right? This shot coulda made me famous. It was taken at the Canes' very first home opener in Greensboro, and was picked up by a couple of internet outlets -- mainly ones specializing in hockey fights. Grimson was always good copy for outlets like that, but if you ever met the guy off the ice, he's about as mild mannered and friendly as they come.
Damn, look at the look on his face. You captured THE moment of anger! I'm no fan of hockey fights - it makes for difficult discussions with the kids, frankly - but from a purely photographic perspective, timing doesn't get better than this.
And given the usual lighting hell of shooting in an arena, it speaks volumes that you were able to get ANYTHING, let alone THE moment. Major wow.

I have never been able to figure out why one would want to get in a fight on SKATES. I know Hockey is rough and tumble, but . . .
