Watery Wednesday #16: Price Lake
Two of the better known parks along the Blue Ridge Parkway are the Moses Cone Memorial Park and the Julian Price Memorial Park. I don't know if Mr. Cone and Mr. Price knew each other in life, but the parks bearing their names adjoin each other, and both feature impressive impoundments well stocked for fishing. This is Price Lake on a chilly February morning in 2001.

Those are two of my favorite places. I have spent many a happy time at both of those parks. Lovely shot.

I really like the shadows across the rocks - the black & white just tops it off nicely!
This is really cool place, makes it more cool with it in B & W, makes me think how this looks like, to see it there in my own eyes.
Great shot! And I like the B&W - the shadows looks great like that!
Very nice! And it looks good in black and white. :-)
Awesome shot. Love the shadows from the tree.
Masterful post!
I got mosquito bites. . . Aloha-
So were you fishing when you paused to snap this? Pretty area!
I like all the textures in this photo! Sounds like a wonderful place to wander.
I'll take your word that it's chilly -- but it also looks chilly. What sort of fish can you catch there?

it doesn't look chilly, could it be 'cause it's black and white i wonder???
Sounds like a real nice place to spend a few hours. Great photo, thank you.
sounds like my type of parks. nice shot of the rock.
Can't be that cold. The water isn't even frozen :)
Anyway it's a lovely b&w shot of the rocks and the water. There's something very special about monochrome shots.
happy wet wedneday. I did my first watery wednesday, today. Thanks to you I learned about this photo meme.
I love that rock. Nice shot. I'm sure it's cold, too. But not as cold as my water shot! :-)
using the b/w, you aren't distracted by the colours, but allowed to focus on all the textures in the rocks, water, and tree!
