When I first got wind of this week's theme I was a little concerned that I'd have a problem coming up with suitable subjects. Turns out I needn't have worried, there were half a dozen likely suspects practically within arm's reach. And two of these fell to hand (almost literally) as soon as I opened the camera bag. This is two thirds of a set of macro filters I ordered last week. (The other third of the set is on the lens taking the shot.) If you can't see through these, there's a big problem.

Update: To show you just how tough a pansy can be (see yesterday's TP), witness the second shot of the container on the other side of the walkway taken just yesterday after the denizens therein had just been clobbered by a second snow. It hasn't even all melted yet, and already they're back in business.Violence Unsilenced

Great take on the theme!

The bridge and the lens shot are great. I'm gonna have to rethink refering to anyone as a pansy when they are weak!

Nice close-up. Great work pointing out the resilience of the pansies, too.

Ah, very nice. Love the water droplets.

Maybe this week won't be as difficult as I thought it would be...
But I'm too tired tonight to think. Tomorrow is another day.

again, a clever one with the close-up's... and those pansies, persistent if nothing else.

Love the macro filters for transparent. And the update on the pansies is stunning. Our daffodils are fine as well, they only spent one day under the snow and the cold nights don't seem to bug them.

Nice addition to your equipment and great subject for something transparent. These pansy's look like they're a bit stronger than the purple ones.

Woo-hoo! Love those filters! And I'm still in awe at the Pansies. :)

I haven't even figured out how to use my snazzy camera. Maybe I should come spend some time with you?

hey.. I've had pansies winter over under the snow. They are stubborn little beauties.

They sell pansies here that they call ice pansies. Not sure if they are the same as regular pansies. Maybe they all survive frost.

I had thought about taking a photo of my filters too! Great shots :)
