Even without the title and caption, I would feel like something not good is in that envelope. Must be that sickly yellow. Or maybe when you get particularly bad news, colors fade a bit, the world darkens, and things get blurry as you focus on something that isn't the bad news.
Ahh, I did think the arches were taken with a flash because of the differences in brightness, but I failed to realize that turning the camera would've created the angled shadows. Woops. Thanks for clearing that up.
I hope whatever bad news in the envelope was is over now. Thank you for encouraging me on night photography. It means a lot to me, coming from you. I really admire your photos. Have a great week :).

i think it looks a little foreboding as well. i like the shot though and i think the blur works as well.
