Monochrome Monday #28: Well It Ain't The Edmund Fitzgerald

"Lake Shipping History"
Cleveland, OH - August 2005 (Click to embiggen)

And that's probably good since the Fitzgerald was lost in a storm. Or so the song goes anyway. i wish we'd had the time to visit this museum while we were in Cleveland, but unfortunately we had to move on before we got the chance. Perhaps I'll get back there one day and check it out.Violence UnSilenced

I'm now going to be humming The Edmund Fitzgerald for the rest of the night LOL. Thankfully I actually like the song.

Hope you're having a wonderful holiday J.

I believe Robert Silverburg wrotea story around that missing ship.

I know neither the story of the Edmund Fitzgerald, nor the song.
But an interesting subject for B&W.

I'm a Fitzgerald-Ignoramus, too, but ships are always great for a satisfactory monochrome. Off to Google...

One for me to Google. Ships do lend themselves well to monochrome all lines and form. I have just noticed I'm not the only one off to google tonight. Now look what you've started!

Very stately subject. Makes for a greatly contrasting display. Love it.

Just the other day heard the song, again, for the first time in ten or so years. And now your photo reference. Cool beans...
