Thematic Photographic 43: "Reflective" v.6.0 - 1953 Chevy 5-Window Pickup
And I'll close out the week the same way I started, with the same '53 pickup you saw in version 1.0. And in this one you can actually see the self-portrait if you look carefully. Hope you enjoyed the car show as much as I did!

Neat, I don't think my hubcaps are clean enough for such a shot.
I can't keep up with your posts. I leave the laptop for a day and loads have appeared. I love the wheel. It's mesmerizing, hypnotic. I swear the longer I look I can see it swirling.
Hi!
That's one shinning hubcap!! That's a great classic truck! The hubcap is the same as the truck, Beautiful!!! Have a great evening!
Sherrie
love your series on cars!! you have captured them so beautifully!
oh yes! i enjoyed the car show as much as you!
Fun stuff. Looks like your shirt matched that Chevy perfectly.
Car shows are fun--not least because the car owners are always proud to see someone photographing their cars.
What cool wheels!
What a knockout of a photo. I love this!
Them must be some purty cool wheels, too.
Nice! Yup, I can see you there and your shadow is on the reflection too...cool!
Btw, you wanted to know more about the design elements that go into making the Arabic wind towers, right? Here's a site I stumbled upon which explains in detail how they are made: WIND TOWER HOUSES.
My very first photo blog entry featured Bastakiya, a famous tourist attraction here in Dubai which displays Arabic heritage relics and architecture (it's actually a favorite subject among photographers here too because the lighting there in the evenings is just perfect). The wind towers are really an important element for building houses then, more for reasons of practicality than aesthetics. The heat in this part of the world can really be very unforgiving (it reaches up to 50 degrees celsius during summer), thank God A/C got invented, LOL! Sorry for the long post =)
Whitewalls forever. It's heritage like this that convinces me why America needs SOME sort of domestic carmaking capability. This is history...and nothing being made today evokes anything like what I'm feeling now.
I have really enjoyed your Reflective shots this week! I have a really soft spot for classic cars so you got me every time!
BTW -
if you have a chance could you please stop by Sweetanlo's Reflective Post
She has an amazing reflective photo posted and is afraid that no one will see it since she posted so late.
Heyyyyyyyyyyy, I think I see you! =)
