Blue Monday #34: "Banking On It"

"Clash of the Titans"
Raleigh, NC - October 2008 (Click to embiggen)

I decided I'd better get this shot of the Wachovia building for historical purposes while I still had a chance. No telling what name will go up there in the near future. Looks like Wells Fargo for now though.Violence UnSilenced

I still call it the First Union Building. I wonder how many incarnations it will go through in my lifetime.

You always get such clear shots. I had a hard time with my camera yesterday. And it's my fault. I just can't hold the camera straight.
UGH.

Great shot! That's the problem with allowing corporate America the rights to naming visual "landmarks"! Similar story in St. Louis...what do you call the TWA Dome when the airline giant folds...hmmmmmm!

Happy Blue Monday,
Valerie

Nice shot, and the name of the building has in this case no importance. The bank where I'm customer since decades has changed so many times of name that I lost count :-)

Nice Canadian connection on the RBC building beside it! Once upon a time, they called themselves the Royal Bank of Canada. But with globalization, I guess such things must be homogenized for broader consumption.

This is as close as I like to be to big city buildings. They are beautiful in their own way...guess I am just a country girl.

Very striking picture!

The name on the building is an anomaly surely. Wachovia! :)
