Monochrome Monday #34: The Love Shack? Or Just a Shed?

"Shack at Ari's"
Pittsboro, NC - July 2003 (Click to embiggen)

There's not much of a story to tell here either. This outbuilding sat outside an old house in Pittsboro that had been rented by the son of an old girlfriend and his band. It was isolated enough that they could practice without incurring the wrath of the neighbors and they hosted some pretty legendary parties there too. But the shed didn't factor into those as far as I know. I just thought it made a cool photograph.Violence UnSilenced

Marvellous. I am envious of that one.

Very nice, kind of scarey. I bet it could tell some stories.

Something about those branches looks almost alive, as if they're about to swallow up the shack. Very atmospheric.

I'll go with Love Shack. Anyplace that encourages the creation of magic, in any form, definitely qualifies.

Love how you lit this. The direct flash nails the contrast and texture to a t.
