Ruby Tuesday #43: "Red Light"

"Sugar Benefit Show"
Raleigh, NC - January 2009 (Click to embiggen)

Ruby Tuesday - Are you red-dy? Hosted at

Back in January one of my favorite local bands, "Sugar", played a benefit show for a single working mom who'd lost her home to a fire right after the new year. The benefit raised nearly $4600 in just a few hours time. Which is related to this shot only because this is part of the band's lighting setup.Violence UnSilenced

The red seems to enhance the spotlight. It is as if this is a red light, telling us to stop, listen and contribute. Nice!

Nice! It's definitely got that onstage, live show feel to it.

Way to go on the fundraising too, I love a band with a heart.

Was the rim red or did you do that?

EG: I did a post on the show right after it happened here. It was an awesome night for sure.

At first I thought somebody left a pot on the stove at night and you took the shot right before the fire starts - but then I read the Sugar Band story - glad you had a good time!

A true Ruby Tuesday capture and a sweet outcome for that mom that lost her home. :)

Your story that illustrates the red light makes me happy.

It's good to see a community coming together and helping out someone who was down on their luck!

Happy Ruby Tuesday!
