Thematic Photographic 52: "Dusk" v.7.0
And to round out the Dusk theme for this week, what could be more fitting that the last gasp of the sun sinking into the Atlantic Ocean? No matter how many times I witness this, I never, ever get tired of seeing it -- or shooting it. As I've mentioned here before, Emerald Isle (the island, not the town, though the town is on the island... shut up Arlo.) is a south facing beach, which means that both sunrise and sunset occur over the ocean. Can you beat that? I submit that you cannot. So as the sun sinks slowly in the west, we bid this edition of Thematic Photographic bon soir. See you next week for an all new theme!

Utterly breath-taking view of one of my favorite places to watch the sunset ... the sand ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
Gorgeous sunset! I would never get tired of that view either :)
Beautiful. Even the water's edge looks on fire.
Breathtaking bon soir!
I would love have seen this sunset for real!
I will check Written Inc for next theme :)
That is stunning! I was just going to say I didn't think you would see a sunset on the Atlantic but here it is. The fact that there's a beach that gets both a sunrise and sunset must be a remarkable place to live! You get them coming and going. How awesome!
How cool it would be to spend an entire day in this place. I think I'll have to do just that.
It's color like this that makes me glad I have my vision. It touches the soul.
Stunning colors in this sunset! Same goes for your Adirondack sunset.
breathtakingly gorgeous!
It looks like the glow of coals.
I'm glad you explained how the sun could set over the Atlantic on the US East Coast!
Came by for a look at all your "dusk" photos and as usual I'm not disappointed. They are all amazing. You have so much variety and yet in each one the magic of dusk shines forth as the light dims.
"the place where the crush of the world releases its hold and the promise of more enjoyable things takes over"
So very true.
I loved this theme.
end or beginning? both!
