My World Tuesday #42: More My Son's World Than Mine
For his final year (or so) of college my son took an apartment with two other music students a few blocks from campus, and not so very far from the building that features this mural of comic book characters. I'm unsure of its origin or history, don't know how many artists may have contributed to it, but given the theme -- or at least the fact that it has an overarching theme -- I'd guess that it was sanctioned by the building's owners and whatever authorities govern this sort of thing. My favorite element? The "Jawa" from Star Wars hiding in the wrecked "T" car. Apparently even intergalactic munchkins realize that you just don't drive in Boston.

i like this...quite a whimsical and fanciful piece of art.
thanks for sharing with us.
have a wonderful evening.
Very nice to see, this is also some sort of art.
I love it!! What a great shot, Mojo! And a fun world it does appear to be!
Hope you have a great week!

Of course I love it. That's another world right there in Greensboro. I love the layers. It's wonderful the way all the pieces come together. That wall is a storybook.
I love it too. It appeals to all ages. And so beautifully created too.
i really like it. Quite impressive too. I'd probably be stopping at that wall and stare at them for a little while longer:) My world is here
I have been told to say this are wonderful Graphic art work not comic book characters. They really are very serious too. It's brilliant to me. I'd rather see a colourful image in a drab world.
This is really a piece of art!
A very interesting mural. I've been noticing a lot of them on our travels lately but haven't had the nerve to make hubby stop so I can grab a picture.
Ha! You are right on about driving in Boston!
If I were a college kid, I'd kinda dig having some art painted on a nearby apartment.
This is very cool. I'm now enlarging the picture to check out the details.
Have a great week,
Gina
What a cool mural. I hope its preserved and its original artists eventually celebrated.
A lot of work has gone into the painting. There are some talented painters in your town.
It certainly looks much more interesting than the plain brick wall.
This is so effin cool for a geek girl like me.
