No Pictures, Just a Thought for a Friend

We all dread the day we get "The Call". Yes, "that" call. I think, though, that it's worse when someone we care about gets it. The feelings of frustration and helplessness are amplified somehow. And that's what's happened today. One of the in the real or virtual worlds lost his father early this morning. And while it wasn't entirely unexpected, it was sudden which is always a gut punch. I have no doubt that Carmi will be spared the regret of leaving things unsaid or undone, but at the same time there's never a good way to lose a loved one. So if you would take a moment, , and offer a good thought to someone who could not possibly deserve it more.

My best thoughts to you and your family Carmi.

That is always so sad to get those calls.

Daryl's right: you define the very essence of being a mensch, and I am so thankful to call you my friend.

I woke up early to write...the words kept dancing around my head, so I figured I may as well get out of bed and try to make something cohesive out of them.

I doubt anything I write will be readable, but I've got to try, if only to have something to refer back to later on and remember.

More soon, kind sir. I'm so touched by this.

My thoughts go out to Carmi, too. You sure did say it all perfectly.
