55 Flash Fiction Friday #66: My Song

"I look back for a moment and I catch a smile that blows this whole fuckin' place apart."*

Yeah.

It's like that.

I look down to the right of my screen... and I'm lifted up. Do you suppose Bruce wrote that song just for me?

Probably not, huh? No matter. It works anyway.

It works.

I think, yeah, Bruce wrote it just or you. He did if it works and he got it right.

That song and this post make me think of your poem "Blowing the Curve."

I'm thinking I have stood where you stood to take this picture. Which I like very much.

Me "teaching" Sandy would be kinda like Kid Rock "teaching" Mozart. She's the real deal.

Music, poetry, paintings well-executed speak to us all though the message may be different for each of us.

Isn't that the beauty of music? It always "just for" someone.

When it works, it works!

However, Bruce usually writes for me.

A smile such as that could (and has) launched a thousand ships.

I'm glad it launched your 55, today.

It seems that they all write them for a universal appeal!
