If memory serves, the sign in the first shot says something like "No Wake Zone" but for me it was simply a filter that allowed me to catch this breathtaking sunset. Yes folks, it really was that dramatic. No Photoshop tricks required here.

Now I've heard of "making the best of a bad situation", but the show advertised in the second shot could be called "excessive" by any standard. The first time I saw this sign (on a billboard near Rochester, NY) I was sure I'd read it wrong. so this time when I saw it on the side of a tour bus in Boston, I made sure to get a picture. I really thought I'd have a credibility problem if I didn't have supporting evidence.

For those of you who hadn't already figured it out from my profile photo (among other things), I'm a big (read: huge) fan of Hurricanes Hockey. I'm also a Raleigh native still living in Raleigh, which back in the day (c. 1997) used to make me two minorities for the price of one. Amazing what winning a Stanley Cup will do for your popularity.
