For the last few week's I've been pimpin' something called BlogBlast for Peace in many of my posts. My last several HNT's have featured this as a theme (maybe you noticed). Well the launch for this BlogBlast is on (Half-Nekkid) Thursday November 6 and I figure it's never too late until Thursday's over... Besides, is it ever a bad time to promote peace?

So if you want in on some of this non violent action, you can still do it... Find out how here. And if you miss out on this launch, the next BlogBlast will be in June. Watch this space for details.

Why mess with a good thing. Especially when it's for a good cause! Yeah, the bling came from my Halloween costume... but I liked what it added.

For more Half-Nekkidness, check out Obasso's place. See you soon!

On November 6th, bloggers from all over the world will come together with one message for one day in the fifth BlogBlast for Peace. Participation couldn't be a whole lot simpler, one post for one day. Yeah, it really is just that simple. You don't have to be a great artist or a great writer. All you need is a post and a blog to put it on. Really.

Need an idea for a post? Graphics assistance? More explanation? I'm here for ya. 'Cause this is a project I'm excited about, and I want to get you excited too.

With great power comes great responsibility, right? And for some reason or other, this candlelight series seems to hold a great deal of power. "Why not", I reasoned, "use this power for good?"

And what greater good could there be than world peace?

You gotta love the "smoke-and-mirrors" approach. Or in this case, the candle-and-mirrors approach. But this would be a lot easier if I didn't have to be on both sides of the camera. Any young nubile female volunteers? Show of hands?

In last week's comments on "Low Light", someone said "I love the light... might like it even lower... ;)". And you know me... I aim to please.

Not sure this is exactly what she meant. It does, though, fit in with this week's "theme"... If you want to know what that is, go check out Obasso's blog for details.

And one final note... it seems my normal email server is throwing a snit right now, so I'm using an alternate Gmail address I keep around for just such occasions. So if you get a message from mojo1160, it's not spam... it's just me.

Folks seem to dig this series, and who am I to say they're wrong? Just goes to show that in the right light even my ass can look good.

Since the protocol for HNT only states that the shot must show "some" skin, whether or not this shot qualifies depends largely on what you think you see here. (Insert sinister laugh track.)

"Quilly's Just Reflecting Challenge"

Two memes with one stone I say! Quilldancer has put out a challenge for "Reflections" (that I'll let her explain) that is still going for another few days. Then there's "Half-Nekkid Thursday" which is a regular meme that I've never played with participated in (because truly, what part of me would you really want to see nekkid?). But over last weekend I was toying with some experimental shots and came up with this one which... is oddly compelling. In a sinister and disturbing sort of way. If you know me at all, you know I'm not sinister... though a case might be made for "disturbed". Anyway. I was trying to find a context for this shot so I could actually use it for something and here we are. A twofer!

(PS: "Olympic theme?" Uh... how about the Olympic flame then?)
