55 Flash Fiction Friday #10: Chapter 4 - Bannaa

Some stories are the same in any language.

She knelt, considering the puddle of vomit congealing with the dust, shivering despite the blistering heat. She stormed past the stares knocking at her friend Sadaf's door. Seeing her state, her childhood playmate yelped, "Kya hua1?". Rinsing the acrid taste from her mouth she spat, "Not what has happened. What will. And what will not."

Notes:
bannaa: "[to] become"
kya hua: "what [has] happened"

I just realized you are in Raleigh. Believe it or not I live in Bullock, which is 67 miles North of Raleigh. Small world huh? How about that hurricane?

The girl really has some gall...

(& I'm still not up yet, but soon might be ,( long day up ahead still...))

I love the way this is progressing!

@etta: Really?? Seems like I've seen signs for Bullock. I don't know why I thought you were on the west coast somewhere... maybe because I found you through a west coast blog? Whaddya know about that.
I'm heading for Charlotte for the weekend, so unless Hannah pulls a Hugo I probably won't see much of it.

@Missy: Anybody I'd know? And where? (This is getting a little spooky here!)

@Mona: Just you wait. This girl has more than just gall... she's got grit and steel and fire and all those other things the best heroines have. She's Mother India cross bred with Phoolan Devi cross bred with Urmila (*sw♥♥n*) in Ek Hasina Thi (See it if you haven't. Definitely! Best onscreen catfight in Bollywood history I swear!)

Mojo, If you really want to see a movie about Indian women, see 'Lajja' & also 'Hari Bhari'. & Yes, have you seen 'Fire' and 'Water' ?

I think you must have.

You enjoy cat fight!?! :D I am amused ! :D :D

How do you type out those hearts for Urmila Swoon????

Ps> I am up too!

I've seen Water and Lajja. Are you kidding? You know I couldn't miss Urmila's (*sw♥♥n*) item in that one!, but not the other two. Dor was another good one.

The hearts you can get by taking the spaces (and the quotes) out of this string: "& hearts ;" there are a lot of other characters you can render this way too, but going into it would get more technical than I'm equipped to be this early in the morning.

And yeah, I suppose I like a good movie catfight as much as anybody (Sridevi got into a good one in ... was it Gumrah?).

What am I in Agra???

Excellent installment Mojo!!
Very descriptive...
Thanks for playing, and have a Great Week-End.....G

G-Man: Not Agra... at least not yet... But I'm not ruling it out for later. You're in a village in Punjab at the moment. Not far from the newly created India/Pakistan border. (The Hindi is just 'cos I don't know Punjabi... think of it as Urdu if it helps get you through the night.)
