Thematic Photographic 12: Colorful v.2.0
On my way to BTS '08 I stopped to snap a few photos of interest that fit in with this week's Thematic Photographic prompt, "Colorful". It's not so much that there's little color around here, and more that I wanted to do something that hadn't already been done to death. Or at least done to life support. As expected, I found the usual colorful flowers, balloons, playground equipment... but I wanted something different. And since I'd already used the fish pond at the arboretum (if only I'd known...) I went hunting. And I found bold vibrant colors in some unexpected places.Take the gas station for example. I wish I'd been buying some of this deisel instead of unleaded regular, but alas my truck can't digest it. Next truck perhaps.Colorful building with some very colorful customers I'm sure. Or customers that come out more colorful than they go in. Just behind this block of Morgan Street (and over several fences and walls) are some colorful characters of another kind. From this spot, you can see the back side of Central Prison -- the state's largest maximum security facility. But so far as I know, 305 doesn't do prison tatts.

Nice take on what could be a very predictable theme. The artists eye is indeed in seeing old things in a new way!
