Thematic Photographic 24 - Rows v.1.0: Another Nail in My Heart

This week's Thematic Photographic challenge is "Rows". Which immediately started me thinking, "Hmmm... what come in rows?". Crops grow in rows. Students sit in rows (if the teacher is lucky). Kernels of corn grow in rows. Shingles are laid in rows. There's rows everywhere!

(Un?)fortunately, I don't live on a farm or teach. There was no corn on the cob in the house, and it was too dark to see the roof outside the house. I was stumped.

Until I remembered that I have a garage. You can find all kinds of stuff in my garage. No, come on now... Jimmy Hoffa disappeared decades before the garage was built. But other than that...

Garage to the rescue. Specifically the workshop in the garage. Which is where this box of collated nails for my nail gun lives. Along with lots of other stuff that comes in rows. So stay tuned. I won't give you Jimmy Hoffa (because he doesn't come in rows!) but there could be some unique spins on the theme to be found here. Assuming nobody else thought of them first.

Stumble This!

It's amazing how quick those rows can disappear while building. :)

Oh this is a great photo for "rows!" I'm going to look around for something this week. You've got me thinking now.

I think it's a great idea. Rows of school children are overrated. I LOVE your header photo-- stunning!

Honestly, if you didn't tell me what this was I would have been studying it for a while trying to figure it out. Cool pic.

I have to admit, I was puzzled at first sight. I thought of gold chains for some reason. Still stumped on the title of the post and its reference to the photo...

Very rich colors, and now that I know what they are, I am in awe of the uniformity. Great Capture. Dare I say, "you hit the nail on the head" with this one? *Wink*

You run with themes more freely than anyone I know. May this always be so, mon ami. I love this treatment...though I can't get the image of a row of Jimmy Hoffas out of my head, for some reason :)

You've inspired me in turn. Please excuse me while I go churn my brain for a bit. Stuff's percolating, thanks to you.

Collated Nails ?
Nail Gun?
Sounds like a Recipe for Disaster. The continuing saga is now posted in case you wanted to read the ending...

I like the way those rows looks. Who woulda thunk it! Nails can be made to look warm and artsy.

Thanks for stopping by my page for Wordless Wednesday last week. I trap voles, sometimes called field mice, at my field site. The bait was for them. Prior to that WW post I shared a photo of a vole, my research subject.

Please come back by my blog Urban Science Adventures! and check out those posts, Dissertation on My Mind Photo Essays, and my Urban Wildlife Watch posts, my latest entries were about bats, moles and shrews, and the Osage Orange tree. Plus, I am competing for a Blog Scholarship. I would really appreciate your support.

I usually try to incorporate the Thematic Photographic into my WW postings. This one might be challenging. Can you imagine that. My field sites were ag fields and I'm not sure if I have good pictures of ROWS. I'll get to searching. Later.
Thank You very much and have a great day.

Maybe the Hoff is in rows and that's why we couldn't find him...
