Day or night, there's something about the moon that I can't resist photographing. But I've never quite figured out the geometry that makes the moon show up during the day in any phase other than full.
Deja Vu Alert: In case you were wondering, no this isn't the same shot I posted for Blue Monday this week. That shot was taken at Atlantic Beach back in late October. This one was taken at Theyland Stables here in Raleigh in mid-November. And when I scheduled these I didn't realize I'd scheduled them to appear in the same week!
Guess I really am a lunar-tic, huh?

Fabulous shot. My daughter's been asking me all week what the moon is doing out in the daytime. We figure he just got tired of always being in the dark and wanted to come play while it's light too.
Now that is a great moon..Mine is not that good...sigh..

Funny how much the moon influences the earth and those who live here. The crime rate goes up on a full moon too. Me, I loe the moon in any phase.

i share your passion for the moon. the moon inspires me, relaxes me, makes me moody (a good thing to blame, and he doesn't mind) and makes me creative (well, i believe that anyway....)
This is a fabulous moonshot. We have had wonderful moons this week, including one shining above a snow flurry. Very mysterious. I wish to could get my camera to take pix of the moon.
