Monochrome Monday #23: Heading For The Falls Redux
This is where the Linville River begins to give an indication of what's to come. These are the uppermost rapids where the placid headwaters begin a perilous plunge several hundred feet to the valley below.

I am already looking forward to the foaming waters.
Beautiful dramatic picture!
It begins to be rough.
Fantastic light, looks like a silver crumpled sheet. Great effect. I miss just the sound.
I like this trip down river...:-)
Oh oh! I'm beginning to feel seasick. ;-)
Looks a bit to bumpy for me!
I really enjoy your monochrome shots.
Soon as I laid eyes on this I felt a pull in one direction as if beng swept downstream. Looking forward to the journey. Nice grouping of light in the centre.
Nice. I'm partial to fast moving water in rivers. Rivers and valleys. Lots of those here too. I love it.
I like the choppy reflections in the water that gives it such drastic textures. Cool!
Very dramatic. Really captures the sense of what is to come. Scary.
Wonderful texture to that water. I can feel the excitement building.
that water looks angry...
Very exciting photo. The tension is building..
Those rocks .. the waves .. tension is mounting.
Swift and cool..I can feel it, very nice!
Great shot, it does look rough..
