The dark of night seems to be impenetrable, unyielding. But the ruby profile of the performing artist breaks through, not with a loud brilliance but a subtle motion. And we see it clearly!

Her dressing would be well loved by the older Chinese generations during the lunar new year!
I wonder who she is.....

@Napaboaniya: Her name is Maryam, and she's originally from Lebanon. Only 23 years old and already suffered a lifetime's worth of abuse. She was one of seven women in the play "Speaking Without Tongues" that I wrote about
here last week sometime. this was one of my favorite shots from that batch. The post I mentioned has a whole slideshow.

Hi everyone! This is a picture of me. This is my blog if you want to follow: maryamoutspoken.blogspot.com

I am half Syrian/ half Irish German. I am almost 22 and a student at UNC-Chapel Hill.

Please keep in mind that we are also sharing stories of women who could not speak themselves, so not every story I shared was mine.

Thank you all so much for your support!!
