55 Flash Fiction Friday #35: Chapter 27 - Raastaa


Some stories are the same in any language.
Squinting into the rising sun, she set her feet to the path once more. Lost in her thoughts she didn't register the lorry pulling alongside her. "Ruko!" she heard a man's voice call.

"It isn't safe for you to travel alone this way", the officer said.

"Safer alone than with a man", she replied acidly.
